Custom Fabrication of Drive Housings
for the Heavy Construction Equipment Industry
A manufacturer of heavy equipment required a drive housing that would be used in medium to large sized excavators. We began the fabrication process by machining, cutting, and bending A36, A514, and A572 GR.50 steel per the specifications sent to us by the customer. Using our large positioners ensured that all parts were machined properly. Robotic welders were used in the welding process and all welds were UT tested. These drive housings measured 12' long by 2' wide and were manufactured to tolerances of ±.05 mm.
